Richard “Dick” Wobschall, age 78, of Albert Lea and formerly of Waseca, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center following an extended illness.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Waseca, with Father Gregory Leif, officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.
Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral services for Lester E. Schlaak will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Richland. The Reverend Scott Williams will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m. at Fredrich Funeral Home, in New Richland, and again one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery at a later date.
Lester Ernest Schlaak of New Richland passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the New Richland Care Center. He was 87 years old.
Marjorie M. Trandem, 88, of New Richland, Minnesota, formerly of Owatonna died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Country Neighbors in New Richland.
Marjorie Mae (Crabtree) Trandem was born June 27, 1925, in Summit Township, Steele County, Minnesota, to Charles Wesley and Pearl (Hubbell) Crabtree. She attended School District 82 and graduated from Ellendale High School. She also attended Jr College in Webster City, Iowa to earn her teaching certificate.
Funeral services for Beverly Phillips will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014. The Reverend Raul Silva will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-6 on Sunday at the Bonnerup Funeral Chapel, Albert Lea location, and again one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date.
Beverly passed away surrounded by family at St. John’s Lutheran Home on Thursday, March 6, 2014. She was 87 years old.
Beverly was born on December 16, 1926 to Ben and Florence (Meader) Fredrickson in Albert Lea. Beverly attended and graduated from Albert Lea High School. After her schooling, she worked various jobs until meeting and marrying her eventual husband.
The funeral for James P. “Jim” Svelmoe will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Salem Road Covenant Church in Rochester officiated by Pastor Mark Evinger. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Mitchell, Iowa.
Mr. Svelmoe, age 91 of Rochester died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Seasons Hospice.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Olaf Cemetery, New Richland. Military honors will be accorded by the New Richland Area Veterans.
Orrin died Friday, February 28, 2014 at his home in New Richland, MN. He was 85 years of age.
Joyce (Brigger) Dombroske, passed away at the New Richland Care Center, her home for the last seven years, on March 2nd, 2014.
She was born on October 22, 1932, to the late Art and Leona Brigger of Minnesota Lake, MN. Joyce graduated from Wells High School in 1950. She married Robert (Bob) Dombroske, her high school sweetheart, on January 7, 1951.
Funeral services for Gerald M. Petsinger of Ellendale, MN, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland, MN. Father Willington officiated. Military honors were accorded by the New Richland Area Veterans Groups.
Gerald died on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his home in rural Ellendale, MN. He was 71 years of age.
He was born October 11, 1942 in Redwood Falls, MN, the son of Vernon and Catherine (Kerby) Petsinger. He graduated from high school in Morton, MN. Gerald served in the US Army National Guard and Reserve and was united in marriage to Isabelle Liebl on October 10, 1964 at St Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax, MN.
Memorial Services for Mavis L. Roberts, of rural Ellendale, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. The Reverend Richard Spande will officiate.
Interment will be in Clarks Grove Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home.
Mavis died at her home in rural Ellendale on Monday, February 17, 2014. She was 81.
She was born on April 24, 1932, in Albert Lea, the only child of Julius and Lillian (Hanson) Nelson.

Marvin died on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident in Blooming Prairie, MN. He was 76 years of age.

Mary V. Haberman, age 101, of rural Blooming Prairie, died Feb. 11, 2014 at Prairie Manor in Blooming Prairie. Mass of Christian Burial is set Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Litomysl with Rev. Michael Cronin presiding. Burial will follow at Czech National Cemetery in rural Blooming Prairie. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brick–Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Road, Owatonna) and one hour before the funeral liturgy on Monday. A parish rosary will be recited at 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday.
Robin John Groenewey, infant son of Heather Wilkie, Geneva, and John Groenewey of Clarks Grove, Minn., went to be God's Angel on Feb. 1st, 2014. Robin was born Feb. 1st in Des Moines Iowa. Although we only had him for a short time, he will always be remembered.
Robin is survived by his mom and dad, triplet siblings, sister Sophia and brother Ridley, grandparents Randall and Carolyn Wilkie, Ellendale, and Tom and Kathie Groeneweg of Clarks Grove, Mn. Also great grandparents Wilma Haberman Ellendale, Wanita Wilkie Medford, Joe Groeneweg Clarks Grove, and Richard and Delores Lindell Albert Lea. Robin also has a Great great grandmother, Lola Sorensen of Owatonna, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Our perfect angel, Emily Florence Possin, was born silently on January 29, 2014.
Emily is the daughter of Tom and Jessica Possin of New Richland. She is survived by five brothers, Jesse, Zachary, Seth, Daniel, and Levi; her paternal grandparents, James and Chris Possin of New Richland; her maternal grandparents, Reo and Merle Pratt of Apple Valley; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her life, though brief, was a blessing to all those around her. We would like to thank all those who have offered their love and prayers during this time.
Frances (Wayne) Nelson, age 92, of Fargo, North Dakota, died peacefully on January 20, 2014, due to respiratory complications from pneumonia at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, California.
