Lageson, Reuben M., age 91, of Robbinsdale, previously of Ellendale, passed away on September 29, 2014 in Monticello.
Mr. Lageson was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ada; two brothers, Alvin and Angus; and a granddaughter, Lonnie.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy; sons, Jeff (Trisha), Jim (Nancy), John (Lynn); daughters, Jane Mechtel (Keith Graham) , Jackie (Dave) Arpin; 13 grandchildren; 11 grea- grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Betty); sister, Della Hartle; sister in-law, Betty; many relatives and good friends.
Memorial Service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11 at Vibrant Life Church, 702 3rd St. S., Ellendale (507-684-3421). Visitation will be at the church one hour before service.
Duane Arlen Willert, 79, of Ellendale, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014.
Duane was born January 5, 1935 in Lemond Township, Minnesota, the son of Herman and Louise (Utpadel) Willert. He graduated from Ellendale High School in 1953. Duane joined in the Navy during the late 1950s. On April 24, 1957 he married Eleanor Anderson at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Meriden. He was a farmer for most of his life but after farming he worked for Jostens, Tube Co. and Cybex until he retired in 1997. Duane loved animals, old time music, tractors, going to auctions and visiting with others.
Evangeline Stenzel, age 83, of St. Peter, formerly of Hartland, MN, died Monday, September 22, 2014 at Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be Thursday, September 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday. Paul Alan Aronson, beloved brother and uncle, passed away at his home in Ellendale on September 17, 2014 at the age of 62. Funeral services for Paul will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Reverend Richard Sliper will be officiating. Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery.
Lorraine Miller passed away on September 6, 2014 in Gresham, Oregon, at the age of 87. She was born on September 9, 1926 in Myrtle, Minnesota to parents Alonzo and Hannah Dorothy Mickelson. Lorraine moved to Oregon in 1960 to start a job as the supervisor for the elementary program for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Oregon. In 1963 she met Wilber "Bill" Miller, and the two were married in 1965 in Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services for James “Jim” M. Thompson of Ellendale, MN, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale, MN. Pastor Richard Sliper will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. Interment will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Ellendale.
James died Monday, September 15, 2014 at the New Richland Care Center. He was 92 years of age.
Remembering the life of Eleanor M. (Hinkley) Fjone
A Celebration of Life Service for Eleanor M. Fjone was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. The Reverend Richard Spande officiated. A light luncheon and a time to greet the family immediately followed the service. Interment was in Hartland Cemetery. Eleanor died on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Albert Lea. She was 96.
Eleanor was born on March 27, 1918, in Freeborn, Minnesota, the daughter of George W. and Julia M. (Jacobson) Hinkley. She graduated from Freeborn High School.

The Reverend Patrick Stitt will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Vibrant Life Assembly of God Church in Ellendale, and continue one hour before services on Sunday. Rochus (Rock) Leier Jr., son of Rochus A. Leier and Helen (Becker) Leier, was born on July 24th, 1932, and passed away on August 27th, 2014.
Stella Delores Langlie, age 85, passed away at New Richland Care Center on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Funeral services for Stella will be 11 a.m Friday, August 29 at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale, MN. Reverend Richard Sliper will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the church and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery in Ellendale.
Marvin Cecil Betlach, age 88, formerly of Blooming Prairie, died Monday August 25, 2014 at St. Therese Nursing Home in New Hope, MN. He was born November 26, 1925 at his rural Blooming Prairie home, to William and Katherine (Bina) Betlach. He was raised on the family farm and made his living as a farmer in the Blooming Prairie area until his retirement. Marvin served his country in the United States Army in Korea before his discharge in 1948. On February 15, 1949, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Klemmensen at Geneva Community Lutheran Church. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bixby, MN. Marvin enjoyed his time gardening and playing cards. In November 2005, Marvin moved from Blooming Prairie to the Twin Cities to be closer to his family.

The Rev. Ordean L. Grant of St. Charles died July 21 at the May Clinic Hospital at Rochester. He was born November 18, 1932, to Nelha (Erickson) and Leonard Grant at Austin. He married Eileen Neilsen at Ringslad, Iowa June 21, 1955. They farmed near Corning for 12 years. He was a Lutheran minister at Pickrell, Nebraska; Gaylord; Onalaska, Wisconsin; Alma, Wisconsin.
Ordean is survived by his wife Eileen, four children Kathleen and Rev. Kevin Olson, Lake Mills, Iowa; Marleen (Roger) Clark, Fall Creek, Wiconsin; Jon (Schield) Grant of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Dean (Cindy) Grant of Austin; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister in law Mrs. Lauren (Orlie) Grant and several cousins among them Margella Johnson, Beaver Lake. Blessed be his memory.

Vida passed away on August 6, 2014 at A & D Residential Care, in Antioch, CA. She was 93 years old.
Vida was born on August 9, 1920 to Peter and Bertha (Siffing) Hansen in New Richland. Vida grew up in New Richland, and graduated high school in 1938. Following her schooling, she moved to follow Gilman Tukua to California where he was stationed before the war. The couple married on June 8, 1942, in Carson City, NV. When her husband returned from the war, they moved to different areas of the country, until returning back to California.
LeRoy “Babe” Alton Jameson, 84, of Hartland passed into eternal life Monday, August 18, 2014 surrounded by family at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Center. Father Raul Silva will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4 until 7 PM at the Friedrichs Funeral Home in New Richland, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
