Gerald died on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his home in Hollandale. He was 60 years old. He was born on December 27, 1953 in Albert Lea, the son of Albert and Alice (Ravenhorst) Edwards. He was baptized at the Hollandale Reformed Church and was a lifetime member there. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1972 and from Austin Technical School in 1974 with a tool and die degree.
John L. Wenzel, age 73, of Kerrick, passed away on April 19, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center, Moose Lake, Minnesota.
John Leroy Wenzel was born on July 15, 1941 to John and Genevieve (Brisbane) Wenzel in Waseca, MN and lived on a farm near New Richland, MN. When he was young he moved with his family to Onamia, and attended both the Onamia School, then Mora High School, where he graduated in 1959.
Funeral services for Gerrit Hoogenraad of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the St John’s Lutheran Home Chapel in Albert Lea, MN. Pastor Jeff Laeger-Hagemeister will officiate. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in the Freeborn Cemetery, Freeborn, MN.

Janice Mae Perkins, 68, of Horseshoe Bay Texas passed away on March 22, 2014 after a courageous four and a half year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born to the late Victor and Jessie Daubenspeck on July 20, 1945, in Lawton, OK. Janice graduated from Lawton High School in 1963. She married Terry Perkins on July 23, 1994, and they lived together in Lawton, OK, before relocating to Horseshoe Bay, TX in 2007.
Elsie M. Panos, longtime resident of Medford, died April 1, 2014 at Owatonna Care Center in Owatonna. Mass of Christian burial is set for Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10:30 am at Christ the King Church in Medford. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Medford. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Medford Funeral Home and one hour before the funeral mass at the funeral home. A procession will follow the morning visitation to Christ the King Church at 10:20 a.m.
The visitation for Peggy Jean Montanye will be Wednesday April 2, 2014 in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m.
Miss Montanye, 49, of Rochester, died following a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday March 27, 2014 at Maple Manor Health Care Center.
Peggy was born August 18, 1964 in Waseca, MN. to Harold and Ardes Splitt Montanye. She graduated from Ellendale Geneva High School in Ellendale, MN. in 1982. Peggy has lived in Rochester since 1986 and worked in food service at Maple Manor Health Care Center for 21 years. Peggy loved cooking and baking, especially cut out sugar cookies for every season. Peggy also loved going to parades.
Ordean G. Hanson, 86, passed away Saturday, March 22,20l4 at Northfield Long Term Care Center.
Ordean was born October 19, l927 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Ole M. and Lilly Gevorda Hanson. He grew up on a farm in Lemond Township with his parents and two sisters, He graduated from the New Richland High School in 1946. In November of 1948 he married Patricia G. Dahn.
Ordean began his working career as an ice harvest worker and helped with the ice box refrigeration business, and then went to Wilcos Rafters in Albert Lea, MN. At that time he came down with polio and after his recovery decided to go to Dunwoody and received a technical degree in appliance repair. He then came to work for Riverside in Owatonna till the passing of his wife. He then worked at Sears for a few years and then the Owatonna Mall till he retired.
Mariann Garcia, 86, died in San Diego, Ca. on February 23, 2014 following a fall which resulted in a broken hip.
She was born to Elsie and Frank Shelp on April 25, 1928 in Waseca, MN. Mariann grew up in New Richland, graduating from high school in the class of 1946. She attended Hamline University following graduation and then served in the U.S. Navy. She was based in Pensacola, Florida where she met and married Rudy Garcia. Four children were born to this union. They were later divorced. She lived in San Diego many years and worked at the Community College.
Mariann was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, her son, Mike and her former husband. Survivors are her three daughters, a grandfather, their significant others and a great grandson, all of San Diego. She is also survived by her sister, Fran Field of Arden Hills, MN. The body has been cremated and the remains will be scattered at a later date.

Wesley died, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his home from complications of stomach cancer.
Everal Mae Lageson, 77, peacefully passed away on March 14, 2014 at Clara House in La Crescent, MN. She was born May 12, 1936 in Geneva, MN to Mervel and Bernice Cornelius. She is survived by her loving husband, Lenard, children Diane (Rob) Kestner, Elaine (Rick) Zimmermann, Vicki Krauss and Allan Lageson, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Everal was a loving mother and wife, she had a great sense of humor and was passionate for caring for others.
She is preceded in death by son, Roger, her parents, and others.

Arnold R. Loken, 90, was born on August 6, 1923 on the family farm, the youngest of eleven children of Jens and Cecelia (Hagen) Loken. He was a life long member of LeSueur Lutheran Church in rural New Richland. He graduated from New Richland High School in 1942. He enlisted in the United States Navy on January 18, 1944 serving on a Liberty ship in the Pacific Theater until his discharge in October, 1945. Arnie was accompanied by his nephew, Bob Loken, on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to view the World War II memorial.

Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Litomysl. Friends may greet the family on Sunday March 16, 2014 at Brick – Meger Funeral Home (1603 – Austin Road, Owatonna) from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the funeral liturgy on Monday. A parish rosary will be recited on Sunday at 3:45 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the church cemetery
