Delilah Fennert age 100 of Waldorf, went to meet her Savior on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Delilah was born in rural Waseca on March 7, 1918, the daughter of John and Martha (Joecks) Schlaak. On October 30, 1940 she married Herb Fennert. Delilah was a farm wife and also worked at Brown Printing Co. for over 20 years.
She is survived by her daughters and husbands, Lavonne and Duane Bartelt of Green Valley, AZ, Jeanette and Bill Waitman of Bogard, MO, Diane and Gary Jewison of Good Thunder and Joyce and Bill Oliver of Waterville. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and siblings, Marvin Schlaak and Lucille Below.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Arla Jean Pelzl, 83, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Ellendale, passed away on October 1, 2018. She was born on June 19, 1935 in Waupaca County, Wisconsin to parents Albert and Dorothy Kaminske. She graduated from Dr. Martin Luther High School in New Ulm, Minnesota and went on to study nursing at the local college. She married her beloved husband, Theodore Pelzl on July 22, 1956. Arla Jean enjoyed caring for others as a hospital nurse and also developed in her profession as a retirement home training assistant. The last 10 years of her career, Arla worked as a grocery clerk for Lerbergs Grocery before her retirement in 2002.
Arla Jean greatly enjoyed spending time with family with activities such as camping, traveling, backyard picnics, backyard swimming and parties. She drew her greatest inspiration from her husband and children. She loved attending high school and college sporting events, especially basketball. She was a devoted mother who considered her greatest accomplishment to be raising her family and being a part of God's work. She will be remembered mostly for her love of people and family.

Catherine Lageson passed away peacefully at Zilber Hospice in Wauwatosa on September 26, 2018 at the age of 60 after being treated for sarcoma. Beloved wife of the late Thorin Marty and mother of Samantha and Jessica Marty. Survived by brother, Thomas Lageson and sister, Mary Woolsey and their families.
Catherine was the daughter of Maynard and Elaine Lageson and grew up on the family farm in Bath Township in rural Ellendale. She was a 1976 graduate of the Ellendale-Geneva High School and a 1980 graduate of Luther College.
Catherine spent more than 30 years working as a registered nurse and nurse manager in Connecticut and Wisconsin. She received a doctorate in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2001. Her most recent position was with Aurora Health Care.
Visitation and services were held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 1615 Wauwatosa Avenue, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 30, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Catherine to the Milwaukee Hunger Task Force.

Funeral services for Darlene M. Dobberstein of rural New Richland, MN, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the First Lutheran Church in Waldorf, MN. Pastor Giles Zimmer will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Friedrich Funeral Home in New Richland and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Waldorf Cemetery.
Darlene died Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca, MN, she was 84 years of age.
Darlene was born June 27, 1934 in Glenville, MN, the daughter of Nels and Inga (Burkhow) Mehus. She attended public school in Glenville and graduated from Albert Lea High School. She was united in marriage to Carl Dobberstein on June 9, 1956 at the First Lutheran Church in Glenville, MN.
Darlene made her home in rural New Richland since 1958 where she helped her husband on the family farm. She was an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. At one time she had been a member of the Area Extension Club. Darlene loved gardening and raising flowers, card club, Bingo, baking and cooking and raising chickens.

Jill (Mendenhall) Anderson, age 66, of New Richland, MN passed away on September 30,2018 in Albert Lea, MN.
Jill was all heart and loved by all who knew her. She was genuine, natural, spunky, creative and fun-loving. She loved and was passionately devoted to her entire family. Jill was a talented and versatile musician in many genres, composing folk songs and playing many instruments: piano, clarinet and guitar. Her beautiful singing voice had an amber richness, depth and wonderful suppleness. Jill was at one, singing and playing her guitar. She was thoughtful and caring, an empathetic listener, who made people feel valued and heard. An animal lover, her tenderness for all creatures was one of her most endearing qualities.
Born in Minneapolis on June 18, 1952, second of four children, she sang in the Mount Olivet church choirs for her entire childhood, up until college. When she was eight, her family moved to Edina. Jill was an active member in the Edina Concert Band, and featured in all the Pops concerts as singer and clarinetist. She graduated from Edina in 1970, went on to become Miss Edina in 1971, and attended the University of Minnesota where she was prominent in the University Concert Band.
