Jon Paul "Cookies" Homuth, 37, of Owatonna, died Saturday, October 1, 2016 at his family’s farm. 

He was born August 24, 1979 in Owatonna the son of Myron and Karen (Kelly) Homuth. Jon graduated from Owatonna High School with the class of 1998.  Shortly thereafter he began his career with Fastenal as well as continuing to help on the family farm. Jon currently managed the Austin Fastenal store.
 
Jon married Casey Kunkel December 4, 2004 at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva. The couple has lived in rural Owatonna where Jon enjoyed raising his two wonderful children, Madison and Kaden. He was a very loving and hands on father teaching his kids about farm life, hunting, fishing, and coaching their sports.
 

Deloris May Olson, 78, of Ellendale, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at her home.

She was born May 9, 1938 in Summit Township the daughter of Louis and Mary (Smith) Olson. She attended school in Ellendale where she graduated in 1958. She then started working at the Owatonna Canning Company (Lakeside Foods) where she worked for 47 years.

Deloris was known for her great cooking skills. She liked to play Bingo, do embroidery work and word search puzzles. There wasn't a time she forgot to send a beautiful card for a family member's birthday or to recognize a holiday. Deloris was very excited as she was in the process of moving into a new apartment in Ellendale.

Remembering the life of Scott Michael Eads

Memorial Services for Scott Michael Eads, of New Richland will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, at NRHEG High School in New Richland. The Reverend Paul Andree and Pastor Michael Omtvedt will officiate. Visitation will be from 4–7 p.m. on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 204 1st Street NW, New Richland. Scott Michael Eads was born on October 17, 1975, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, the son of Lonny and Constance (Baarts) Eads. He was a graduate of Mountain Lake High School in 1994 and later graduated from Mankato State University in 1998 with a degree in law enforcement. He did security work in Minneapolis from December 1998 to March of 1999.

Funeral services for Richard Jens Schumacher of New Richland, MN, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Church of All Saints in New Richland. Father Raul Silva will officiate. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Richland.

Richard died Sunday, September 25, 2016 in New Richland, MN. He was 71 years of age.

Richard was born November 23, 1944 in Albert Lea, MN, the son of Helmer and Mary (Loken) Schumacher. He was a graduate of Waseca High School and on December 16, 1967 was united in marriage to Jean Eustice at the All Saints Catholic Church.

 Frank M. Johnson, 83, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his home. 

Frank Marvin Johnson was born October 21, 1932 in Albert Lea, Minnesota the son of Lloyd and Elsie (Pfeifer) Johnson.  He grew up in Ellendale where he attended school and graduated from Ellendale High School, Class of 1950.  Following his schooling, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on June 19, 1954.  On June 26, 1955, Frank was united in marriage to Jo Ann Smith at the Congregational Church in New Richland.  The couple made their home in Owatonna where they raised their family.  Frank worked at Jostens for 44 years and as a courtesy driver for Ford in Owatonna for 14 years, which he credited for helping to keep him busy and healthy following Jo Ann’s death in 2003.
