Deloris May Olson, 78, of Ellendale, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at her home.
She was born May 9, 1938 in Summit Township the daughter of Louis and Mary (Smith) Olson. She attended school in Ellendale where she graduated in 1958. She then started working at the Owatonna Canning Company (Lakeside Foods) where she worked for 47 years.
Deloris was known for her great cooking skills. She liked to play Bingo, do embroidery work and word search puzzles. There wasn't a time she forgot to send a beautiful card for a family member's birthday or to recognize a holiday. Deloris was very excited as she was in the process of moving into a new apartment in Ellendale.
She is survived by sister, Christena (and Robert) Gasner of Ellendale; nephew, David Gasner of Hugo; niece, Sharon (and Donald) Ramaker of Ellendale; nephew, Keith (and Lindsey) Olson of Edina and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Olson.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery in Geneva.
