Rose Marie "Rosie" Pederson passed away October 10, 2016 at her home in Montello, Wisconsin at the age of 75. Rosie was born on February 27, 1941 in Albert Lea to parents Lawrence and Mary Cunningham. She was raised in the Hartland and Geneva area, graduating from Ellendale High School. Rosie was a member at All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland.

For many years Rosie was a cook, working at various Albert Lea restaurants including The Trumble's and Trail's truck stop. She was a member of the Doe's (Elks) in Albert Lea. She has been living in Wisconsin for the past 10 years.

 Carol Helen Bauman, age 73 of Waseca died on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the New Richland Care Center.

Born on September 2, 1943 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Walter and Helen (Roeglin) Suemnick. Carol graduated from Waseca High School in 1961 and went on to attend Rochester Junior College, graduating as a medical secretary in 1963. She worked in Golden Valley and Mankato before finding a job with Waseca County Social Services where she remained employed for almost 40 years. Carol married Orlin “Ole” Bauman on September 16, 1978 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.

Melba Mabel Larson, age 91 of Mapleton, died on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Mapleton Community Home.

Born in Wilton Township on September 6, 1925, Melba was the daughter of Herman and Mabel (Cook) Molkenthin. She attended country school as a young woman and was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Richland. She later graduated from high school in Waldorf.

Following school she began working for the local ASC office. On December 1, 1946 Melba married Marshall Everett Larson in New Richland. After their wedding she and Marshall purchased Melba’s aunt’s farm near New Richland. They lived and farmed there for many years before moving into Waseca.

 Funeral services for Delphine Helen Pence of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. Pastor Mark Boorsma will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery, Geneva, MN.

Delphine died Friday, October 07, 2016 at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center. She was 94 years of age.

Delphine was born on January 4, 1922, the daughter of Hans and Helen (Grunwald) Peterson in rural Clarks Grove, MN. Here she was raised and attended country school. Delphine was employed at Hormel’s in Austin prior to meeting Philip Pence, whom she married on April 20, 1945 in Geneva, MN, where they made their home for many years. Delphine enjoyed spending time with her family, housekeeping, canning, working in her flower gardens, volunteer work at church and going on fishing trips up north with family and friends.

 Arnold Ernest Meyer, age 98, of Wells, MN, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Parkview Care Center in Wells. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Wells, MN with Pr. Paul Woolverton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Wells with Military Honors accorded by The Wells Color Guard. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family.
