Stephen Lloyd Langlie passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2019 at his home. He was born on April 30, 1933 in Waseca County, Minnesota. Stephen was the first child of Lloyd J. Langlie and Ila O. (Olson) Langlie of rural New Richland, Minnesota. Stephen had two younger brothers, Bruce and David, as well as a younger sister, Jane (Langlie) Bartness.
Stephen grew up in rural Waseca and Steele Counties, and attended various rural schools in both counties. Stephen later attended New Richland High School and graduated from that school in June 1951. Immediately after graduation from high school, Stephen enlisted in the United States Air Force. Stephen served in the Air Force for four years, most of the time overseas in the Middle East (Iran).
After discharge from military service in June 1955, Stephen attended the University of Minnesota. He graduated from the Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1960.
While attending the University of Minnesota, Stephen met his future bride; in 1959, Stephen married Signe Gretchen Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Stephen and Gretchen had two children – Nathan, born in 1960, and Laura, born in 1964.

Wear, Janice L., age 81, of New Richland, passed away February 25, 2019.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband Ralph (Skip) Wear, daughter Wendy, and grandson Damian.
She is survived by daughters, Robin (Troy) Staaf, Michelle Wear, Chrissy Monserud; sons Dan and Tim Wear; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and six brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held March 10 at 1 p.m., Funeral March 11 at 11 a.m., both to be held at White Funeral Home in Farmington.

Robert D. Gasner, 88, of Ellendale, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at New Richland Care Center.
He was born November 26, 1930 in Deerfield Township the son of Christ and Mabel (Dartt) Gasner. Robert graduated from Owatonna High School in 1949. He worked on the family farm after graduation and then served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 where he was a Sergeant Tank Commander in the Korean War.
Robert met Christena at the Owatonna Roller Rink as they both were avid skaters. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Christena Olson, on June 27, 1954 at the Community Lutheran Church in Geneva; sharing 64 1/2 years together. Robert worked at Jostens in Owatonna for 40 years in the tool and die department while also operating a dairy farm near Ellendale.
Robert enjoyed drawing, reading, and the outdoors. His most enjoyable moments were the times he spent with his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy and formed a special bond that will live on eternally in their hearts.

Bert Nelson, 96, died February 28, 2019. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service which is Thursday, March 7 at 11 a.m. at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Ellendale MN with internment following at the Pontoppidan Cemetery.
Bert was born on August 16, 1922 in Freeborn County to A. K. (Andrew) and Carrie (Lonning) Nelson. After attending Freeborn High School he married Ruth (Olson) from Hartland, and they farmed at Bath before moving to New Richland. They raised two children Allen Nelson and Sandra (Nelson) Rath. Following Ruthie’s death Bert married Ingrid Hansen and moved to Owatonna. Upon Ingrid’s death Bert married LaVerl Hansen. Bert enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren show their 4-H projects, traveling, and watching Twins baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Kenneth Nelson, Lorretta (Nelson) Marzinski, Donald Nelson; wives Ruth (Olson) Nelson, and Ingrid Hansen.
He is survived by his wife LaVerl Hansen, son Allen and Jane (Burns) Nelson, daughter Sandra (Nelson) and Mark Rath; grandchildren Dr. Kris Nelson and Mark Kinseth, Tracy (Nelson) and Tim Ignaszewski, Wade and Missy (Schroht) Nelson; and great-grandchildren Cole and Lexie Ignaszewski, Alex Kinseth, Kaden, Kalli and Khloe Nelson.

Robert F. Rudolph, age 90, of Waseca died on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Colony Court in Waseca.
Born on November 27, 1928 in Waseca County, Minnesota, he was the son of Fred and Malissa (Koechel) Rudolph. He attended school in Waseca County and went on to serve in the US Army. Following his discharge, he returned to Waseca County and farmed his entire life. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, sweets, visiting and chauffeuring the Jacobson grandchildren.
He is survived by the Jacobson family, Bob (Tina) Jacobson and their children, Robyn and Nate Holmberg, Jeremy and Brooke Jacobson, Tyler and Chantel Jacobson, and Alexa Jacobson and Mark Walton and Greg (Jan) Jacobson and their children, Joshua and Katrina Jacobson, Zachary and Ashley Jacobson and Kaleb and Brandy Jacobson and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jeanette; two brothers, Rolland and Elmer; and one uncle, Charlie Rudolph.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca. Visitation will be held one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery.
