Trisha Joy Wayne, age 31, passed away on October 1, 2021.
Trisha was born on September 20, 1990 to Rodney and Barb Wayne in Albert Lea, MN. She attended NRHEG Schools and following her graduation, she attended Riverland Community College for cosmetology. Trisha opened up her own salon, “Bliss Beauty” in Geneva, where she enjoyed visiting with her clients.  She also bartended at the Geneva Bar and Grill where she was able to socialize and have fun!

Andrew “Andy” J. Mucha, age 84, of Ellendale, passed away on September 26, 2021. 

Andy was born on October 27, 1936 to Andrew and Emilie Mucha (Malkowsky). He graduated from New Richland High School and joined the Army for two years. After serving with the Army, he then returned to the family farm. After farming, Andy was an electrician for 40 years and also started an electrical contractor business. 

Andy was known to be very friendly and always enjoyed meeting new people. He enjoyed traveling with his family and reading in his free time.  Andy was a long time member of First Lutheran Church in Ellendale, MN, since 1964.  

Remembering the life of Sharon “Sheree” Utpadel.

Please join family and friends for a Celebration of Life/Interment Service for Sharon A. (Wayne) Utpadel that is to be held at Geneva Cemetery on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2 p.m. Fellowship and lunch to follow Interment at Geneva Community Center from 2:30-5 p.m.

Sharon died on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the New Richland Care Center.  She was 82.

“Sheree,” as she was affectionately known, was born on September 13, 1938 to Arnold J. and Edith C. (Jensen) Wayne in rural Freeborn County.  Sheree graduated from Ellendale High School and attended the Minnesota Business College of Minneapolis.

Sheree was united in marriage to LaVerne C. Utpadel on April 20, 1958 at the Community Lutheran Church in Geneva, where she remained active throughout her life. They made Geneva their home where they raised their family and contributed in many ways to the community. Sheree, alongside LaVerne, owned and operated Sheree’s Shoppe, Geneva Foods, Vern’s Trucking, and Geneva Amoco.

Grace Lydia Miller, 89, of rural Waldorf, MN was called home to her Savior Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Mankato. A funeral service to celebrate a life well lived was held Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf, MN, where she was a faithful member for many years; Pastor Michael Mathews officiated. Visitation was two hours prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021. Burial will be at First Lutheran Cemetery in Waldorf. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is entrusted with arrangements. The family prefers memorials to First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. Ronald Leo Brey, age 81, of rural New Richland, appeared before the judgement seat of Almighty God on September 13, 2021.

Born on March 9, 1940, in New Ulm to Norbert and Irene (Warta) Brey. He grew up on a farm by Lafayette. Ron was the last 8th grade graduate from District 53 country school. Shortly after his 17th birthday, he enlisted in the national guard and was honorably discharged from the US Army Reserves in 1963. 

Following high school graduation from New Ulm Public in 1958, Ron went to Chicago where he worked full time and went to school full time. Following graduation from DeVry Technical Institute, he began working on missile bases in California, Washington State, and Kansas. In 1962, Ron returned to the area, working at E.F. Johnson in Waseca, later driving school bus, preparing income tax returns, and continued making music with his band. On May 29, 1965, Ron was united in marriage to Patricia Lang at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette, and together they were blessed with three children.
