Isabel Thelma Crumb passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children in Burnsville, Minnesota on Friday, November 19th, 2021.

Isabel was born December 3rd, 1925 in Hartland, Minnesota to Edward and Lillian Reistad. She married Maxon Crumb, had six children and lived in Matawan, Lansing and Austin. 

Isabel was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a fantastic cook and gardener and involved in her church and community.

Martha Katherine (Young) Ignaszewski, age 97, of Wells, MN, passed away peacefully at Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN on Monday, Nov 15, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday, November 22, 2021, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN, with Father Greg Havel and Deacon Gene Paul officiating.  Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday November 21, 2021 at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be held at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery. A Special Thank You to the staff at Parkview Care Center, Mayo Hospice and The Shepherds Inn. Memorials preferred to Freeborn Legion, Freeborn Area Heritage Society, and Donor’s choice. Rodney Newton Farr, 63, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, November 4, 2021 in Columbus, NE.
Rod was born on July 11, 1958 in Albert Lea, MN, the son of Raymond and Ann (Meech) Farr.  Rod lived in Freeborn County, MN most of his life with a short time in Dalhart, TX.  He worked as a Master Carpenter and most recently as a site superintendent for Christianson Companies building Tommy Carwashes.  He worked, just as his father and brother, in construction his entire life.  Rod was extremely proud of his work and was a perfectionist.  Rod was always kind to those he worked with and all he met. 
Rod married Cheri (Olson) Klug on August 1, 1981.  To this union was born their precious daughter, Melissa “Missy” Farr.  The two suffered a great loss of their infant daughter, Heidi Ann Farr, while living in Dalhart, TX.  The two later divorced.

Harvey Dale Zicafoose, age 79, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at his home in Austin. Harvey was born in Hospers, Iowa, to Lawrence and Johanna (Heemstra) Zicafoose on March 17, 1942. His family moved several times early in his childhood. At the age of nine months old, Harvey’s mother died. Nelvina VanEs became his stepmother and was the only mother he ever knew. In 1952, Harvey began attending school in Borup, Minnesota, where he met his future wife, Thelma. After graduating high school in 1959, Harvey went on to attend Moorhead State University. In 1963, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a major in math and broad science. Harvey also obtained a minor in biology and his drivers ed instructor certification. Upon his college graduation, he began a 36-year teaching career at Ellendale Geneva Schools which is now part of NRHEG schools. On June 10, 1963, he married Thelma Dahl at Triumph Lutheran Church in Moorhead, Minnesota. They were blessed with three children. In 1980, Harvey received his Master of Science in Secondary School Principalship and completed a 6th year certification for superintendency. Throughout his teaching career, Harvey lived in Ellendale, Minnesota until 2001, when he moved to Austin, Minnesota. For many years he was a member of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church in Faribault, during that time he was an Elder and Chairman of the congregation. He also served on the board of Lutheran Brethren Schools in Fergus Falls, MN. When the couple moved to Austin, they became members of Crane Community Chapel in Austin and a past member of the Gideons International. His hobbies throughout the years included deer hunting, duck hunting, fishing, singing, and listening to music. He especially loved spending time with his loving wife, Thelma of 58 years. Harvey will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

James “Jim” Ronald Peterson, Sr., 73, of New Richland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, November 1, 2021 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at St. Peter Lutheran Church of New Richland with Rev. Scott Williams presiding. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at St. Peter Church and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery in New Richland.  Online condolences may be left at www.bayviewfuneral.com.
Jim was born on September 15, 1948 to Selmer and Mrytle (Landaas) Peterson in Albert Lea, Minnesota.  Jim attended Albert Lea schools and graduated from Albert Lea high school in 1967.  Jim started dating Kathy Goette on May 2, 1968.  On September 21, 1968, Jim and Kathy were united in marriage at Cross of Glory in Hartland, MN.  Jim and Kathy settled in the Hartland and New Richland to raise their family.
