The Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce AgriBusiness committee and Chamber Ambassadors, working together to advance the relationships between farm and community business, will present the annual Farm and City Luncheon. This event will be held on Thursday, March 23, 11:45 a.m. at the American Legion. Registration cost is $14 per person.

A benefit for Mary Marcus Edon, who has been diagnosed with schleroderma, which is a “silent disease,” will be held on Sunday, March 26 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Ellendale Community Center.
There will be live music, a sloppy joe meal, and beverages to enjoy, all for a free-will donation.
A silent auction and bake sale has also been planned and if you have any questions, or would like to donate in any way, you are encouraged to contact Becky Lassahn at 507-684-3040.

The NRHEG boys’ basketball team made school history Friday night, becoming the first team in the history of the program to win a section title.
Benji Lundberg made two free throws in the final minute and the Panthers held off Jordan 65-64 in an electrifying Section 2AA championship game at Minnesota State-Mankato.
Tyler Raimann led the Panthers in scoring with 17 points, followed by Lundberg with 14, Oakley Baker 11, Sam Prigge 10, Brady Agrimson six and Jason Jongbloedt five.
The Panthers, 28-2 and seeded second in Sub-Section South 2AA, will play in the state tournament Wednesday, March 23 at Target Center or Williams Arena.
Jordan, the No. 1 seed in Sub-Section North 2AA, finished 25-4.
