Daniel H. Willert 47, of Ellendale, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born October 24, 1965 in Owatonna, Minnesota, the son of Duane and Eleanor (Anderson) Willert.
Daniel was raised on the family farm and attended Ellendale School. He graduated from Ellendale in May of 1984. He joined the Army that fall and was given a medical discharge shortly after. He worked at Brown Printing in Waseca for 27 years. He enjoyed collecting farm toys, books, Army books, and models, and was an avid military history buff.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Willert in 2007, and his brother Dean in 1996.
Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Wednesday March 20, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with The Reverend Gary Rusinko officiating. Michaelson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
