Representing the New Richland Care Center was Lindsay Miller. She presented January board meeting minutes, financials and accounts payable, which were all approved by the Council. Several small purchases for the Care Center were approved, including body pillows for the residents. The walk-in cooler that was discussed at previous meetings was brought up, and the council approved it at the price of $11,400. The Care Center report was approved.
Lastly, several Waseca County Board Members were present, including County Commissioners and the Waseca County Sheriff. The Sheriff talked briefly about recent poor communications within the county, which are currently being resolved. After some further discussion, the Council approved the Board’s report and moved on to the next topic.
Before coming to a close at 8:20, the Council discussed another topic brought up at a previous meeting: streetlights on Broadway. Wayne Billing presented pictures of streetlights that could possibly replace the ones we currently have in town, but no final decisions were made. After some further discussion, the council members decided to adjourn the meeting.
