“There will be hotdogs, chips and cake,” Dumdei said. “Country 103.5 will be doing a live remote from here as well.”

“Associated Lumber Mart can handle all your lumber, siding and shingles needs,” Wendland said. “Our Home Design Gallery, which became an official entity in 2005, covers all your interior selections. Then, we can help them find some contractor bids with our third branch, ALM Builders.”
Any and every future homeowner project they will hold in the highest of regards. Respect and fair treatment are a big part of their vocabulary as well.
“We just have a lot of knowledge in the home industry,” Wendland said.
In other words, the stress involved with any house-related project, they eliminate.
“Here they don’t have to worry about driving all over the place to get what they want,” said Snow. “We can do as much or as little as a person needs. If you simply need the materials, we can help with that. We can also help you with design, drafting the blueprints, and finding bids.”
“Building a new house is like putting together a puzzle,” Snow said. “We help you find the perfect bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, great room and even outside view of your dream house.”
Special orders aren’t out of the question either. They will go to whatever length it takes to source a particular product.
Sometimes, facilitating those projects occurs well beyond the Minnesota state line. In years past, they have ventured into Wisconsin, North Dakota and Michigan and currently have projects in Iowa.
“We certainly appreciate the surrounding areas, but our geographic area is pretty large,” Wendland said.
They also take responsibility for the construction of many church additions, Latham place, AmericInn and Waseca Inn and Suites, just to name a few.
“I like to drive around and see what we have built,” Wendland said. “My kids are probably tired of it, but on Interstate 35 West we built a church in Lakeville. Every time we pass it, I say, ‘Hey we built that.’”
For the next 50 years and beyond, he hopes that many more joy rides like this will occur, all done in the name of family.
Said Wendland, “We treat our customers the way we want to be treated.”
