Harvey “Harv” Nelson, age 83, passed away February 1, 2023, at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, MN.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Brick Meger Funeral Home. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the funeral. Military honors will be provided by the Steele County Funeral Unit.
Harvey was born December 27, 1939 to parents Einer and Bessie (Moser) Nelson in Geneva, MN. He entered the United States Army in 1957 and served until his honorable discharge in 1960. He came back to Geneva to work, and he married Anna Srsen in 1962. Harvey worked in the manufacturing industry as a welder and a supervisor for many years. He also had his own welding business: H & S Welding. Due to health reasons, Harvey retired early and he and Anna began to travel all over the United States spending their winters in Arizona.

Mary I. Sullivan, age 79, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her home in Emmons, Minnesota.
Inurnment will take place in the spring, next to her husband Robert Sullivan, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mary Irene (Larson) Sullivan was born on August 31, 1943 in Berlin Township, Steele County, near Ellendale, Minnesota to parents Iver and Dorothy (Cress) Larson. Her father died when she was just 9 years old, and Henry Nelson became her stepfather. She was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale, Minnesota, and graduated from Ellendale High School in 1961.

Marcella Rae Goette of New Richland, passed away at the New Richland Care Center on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the age of 91 years and 21 days. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Richland on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Marcella Rae (Hansen) Goette was born on December 20, 1931 in Burt, Iowa to Elmer and Eleanor (Koestler) Hansen. She attended country school through 8th grade and graduated from Bricelyn High School. Following graduation, she worked at a local Drug Store/Soda Fountain. She was introduced to Marvin “Pat” Goette by mutual friends and family and it was love at first sight; they were wed nearly one year later on December 3, 1950. They were blessed with two children, Craig and Cindi. Marcella and Marvin moved to the New Richland area where they began farming and raising their family.

On February 4, 2023 Diane Marie (Janowitz) Meyer passed away surrounded by family at her home in Amboy, MN. She was 62.
Diane was born July 16, 1960. She graduated from New Richland-Hartland High School, worked at Vivian’s Cafe in Hartland, Corrugated Box Company in Mankato, was a fabulous Day Care Provider, CNA, and finally worked at Wakefield Pork for over 20 years. On June 24, 1978 she married Danny (Whitey) Meyer. They raised two daughters, Leah Marie and Tina Danielle.
Diane had a passion for kiddos, especially her grandchildren. She collected old toys and enjoyed reading, shopping, and hanging out with her friends –especially the Friday night group.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Winzenburg, 75, of Owatonna, died Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis.
She was born March 23, 1947 in Owatonna, Minnesota, the daughter of James and Evelyn (Ribbe) Karaus. She grew up on a farm by Hope and graduated from Ellendale High School in 1965.
On February 5, 1966, she married Edward “Eddie” Winzenburg at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Meriden. The couple lived in Ellendale, Owatonna, Hope and eventually settled back in Owatonna.
Jackie was a homemaker and worked part-time at OTC. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna and was active in the Hospital Auxiliary.
She loved and adored her grandchildren. She kept in close contact with them, sending them cards or notes for any occasion. She eagerly shopped for her grandchildren at Christmastime. Spending time with family and friends was very important to Jackie. She embraced technology and utilized social media to keep connected with everyone.
