Wendell Joseph Nesse, 72, peacefully passed away in his sleep at his home in Albert Lea, MN on Monday April 17, 2023. The funeral service will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church in Albert Lea on Friday April 21, 2023 at 2pm. A visitation will be held the night prior April 20 from 5-7pm at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral home along with an hour before the service. Pastor Mark Boorsma will be officiating.
Wendell Joseph Nesse was born on August 10, 1950 to Luverne and Genevieve Nesse in Albert Lea, MN. He graduated in 1969 from Albert Lea and was drafted and served two years in the US Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He met the love of his life, Patti Carroll from Ellendale, and the two were married on September 25, 1982. Together they had two children, Nic and Bridget.
Wendell worked at Farmstead for many years, then started at CMI in Medford and ended up at Cemstone in Medford where he retired from in 2016.

Roger Groskreutz, age 85, of Wells, MN went to his heavenly home on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at his home on the family farm where he was born as was his wish after a nine-year battle with multiple myeloma. The Funeral Service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, MN at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023 with Pastor Joe Smith officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Irene Eleanor Supalla passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Prairie Senior Cottages in New Richland, Minnesota. She was 93 years old. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Church of All Saints, New Richland, Minnesota. A visitation will take place one hour prior to mass at the church.
Irene was born in Wells, Minnesota, on January 25, 1930, to Peter and Monica (Langner) Ignaszewski. She was a member of the Freeborn High School graduating class of 1948. Irene married the love of her life, Laurence Supalla, on February 15, 1949, at St. Casimir Church in Wells. They spent their life together farming by New Richland, working side by side.

Alan Mark Bethke "BIG BLOCK AL", age 62, of Waseca died on March 31, 2023 at his home, following a brief battle with cancer.
Born on November 2, 1960, in Waseca to Donald E. and Sharon (Calcutt) Bethke. He received much of his education at Waseca Public Schools. In his younger years, he enjoyed raising pigeons and rabbits, riding horses, playing in the hay loft, collecting hot wheels, and building model cars. In his twenties, Al lived in Colorado and California but always considered Waseca his home. He enjoyed many trips to Sturgis for the Black Hills Motorcycle Rally. Al worked for McQuay’s, Misgen’s, Napa Auto Parts as well as owning and operating his own repair shop “Al’s Repair”.
Al had an appetite for anything that had a motor including, muscle cars, minibikes, snowmobiles, and motorcycles; this was his passion. He was the "go to" guy for anything “Big Block Chevy” as well as all other types of motors. He loved showing his cars and talking about where he found his parts. He was a muscle car savant. He enjoyed gardening and canning his produce.

Darlene J. Dinse was born on September 7, 1942 in Waseca, Minnesota to Eldar and Hazel (Yess) Krueger, Sr. and passed away on March 3, 2023 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 24 days. Darlene was born into the family of God through the waters of Holy Baptism on October 11, 1942, and confirmed her faith in Jesus Christ on May 13, 1956, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilton, MN. From that day, she lived out her faith in attending worship and partaking in the life-giving body and blood of Jesus through the Lord’s Supper.
