The NRHEG Teachers’ Association is sponsoring a forum event for this year’s school board candidates in the Secondary School media center beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24.

Of seven seats on the NRHEG school board, three will be vacated this year by departing members. School board elections will be Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The schedule for Oct. 24 includes a half-hour gathering time, when candidates will be available for informal discussions over coffee and cookies, followed by a more organized session during which candidates will offer statements and answer questions collected from the audience.

NRHEG schools does not encourage or support the practice of students participating in non-school sanctioned homecoming activities, i.e. “decorating” the homes of the candidates or others.  As a District, we understand students want to have fun during Homecoming. However, over the years there have been instances when non-school sanctioned homecoming activities were carried out that went too far. Parents reported damage to their property and items left in their yards costing them a disposal fee.

Please understand that if you participate in the non-school sanctioned homecoming activities and come into contact with law enforcement, the District will not be held responsible in any way.

Please exhibit Panther Pride throughout the entire homecoming week.  Be Positive, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe.
