In 2007, June moved back to Geneva, MN to enjoy her retirement and spend time with family and friends. She was a member of the Community Lutheran Church in Geneva and very active in the quilters group, altar guild, and WELCA. She was also a member of the “Bar Fly” group and Red Hat Society.
June enjoyed being a social butterfly, but in her spare time could be found at home watching birds or her favorite game show Jeopardy.
June is survived by her children, Michelle (John) Curry of Wimberley, TX, David Lageson and Cristina Moreno of Phoenix, AZ, Liz Lageson (Joe Sahawneh) of Geneva, MN, Ben (Hope) Lageson of Hope, MN; nine grandchildren; ine great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Phyllis Anderson, Marge (Wally) Wobschall, Ruth Sather, Jim Ottesen, Kathy (Paul) Underland, Butch (Gail) Ottesen, Leanie Bergland, Liz (Rick) Wangsness; sisters-in-law, Amanda Beech and Bobby Lageson; as well as many other relatives.
June is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle Lageson; son, Marc Lageson; brother, Eugene “Sonny” Ottesen who died in the Korean Conflict in 1952; parents-in-law, Helen and Ephriam Lageson; sisters-in-law, Helen Marie Zamora and Betty Ottesen; brothers-in-law, Egel Anderson, Keith Sather, and Mike Bergland.
