There’s a new business in town.

You might have noticed it passing through on Highway 30, or you might be one of the many who have already stopped in to have work done at NB Auto, which opened for business last month.

Occupying the building that previously housed Repairs Unlimited, among others, NB Auto provides local residents with another option for their car repair needs. Operated by Cole Neitzel and Dustin Schlaak of New Richland, Josh Bauleke of LeCenter, and Mike Gridland, Lonsdale, the shop offers almost all regular repair services as well as detailing and free check engine light testing.

“The only thing we don’t do is tire changes,” said Neitzel. “We don’t have the equipment for that, but we do tire rotations, plugs and other repairs.”

Open from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, NB Auto is run in addition to Neitzel and Bayleke’s current construction/concrete business, which is limited to the warmer seasons.

“Construction you can’t do year-round,” Bauleke said. “So this will keep us going through the winter.”

Although they haven’t been in business long, the guys have been very busy, and have already had repeat customers.

“The first week was slow,” commented Neitzel. “But since then business has picked up and hasn’t slowed down.”

NB’s success can likely be attributed to their quick, in-and-out service, as well as word of mouth from happy customers. As far as parts, the guys credit Dan Budach at NAPA Auto Parts in New Richland. They also consulted with New Richland Auto Repair prior to and during startup.

“We’ve had a lot of parents bring in their kids’ cars,” Neitzel said. “People don’t want to wait for their vehicles to be done. We get them in, get them fixed, and they’re done – everybody’s happy.”

Walk-ins are welcome; or call ahead, (507) 461-9640.
