Duane Roland Wachholz, age, 79 of Nisswa, passed on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society–Oakwood in Brainerd from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. He was born on July 19, 1936 in Waconia to Rueben and Luella Wachholz. He attended Waconia High School then entered and dutifully served in the Marine Corps from 1954-1956. His long career in sales and marketing of the music industry gained him great success and many long-lasting friendships before retiring to a lake home on Roy Lake. Duane was an avid boater who loved the outdoors, especially his shed that housed all of his toys. He loved Jesus, life, laughter, and most of all his family.

Duane is survived by his faithful wife of 21 years, Pam and their daughter, Bailey of Nisswa, his previous wife, Judie Stevens and their daughter, Sandra and Richard McWilliams, daughter, Susan, and son, Steven and his wife Lynda, grandson, Brandon and his wife Shannin, great-granddaughter, Austin, granddaughter, Sara, mother-in-law, Virginia Busho; sister-in-law Emily and Larry Otto and their children Josh Otto and Kristin Castle and their children Kenley, Kyah, Avery, Kaydence, and Peyton and Bethany Mikesell and her children Hope and Kiyah, brother-in-law Vern and Mary Busho and their son Brad and Kori Busho and their children Kelsi and Kole.

A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa. Visitation will start on 3 p.m.
