Audrienne was born December 21, 1922 in Ellendale MN, the daughter of Martin and Alma (Olson) Ellingson. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. She graduated from Ellendale High School in 1940, and later graduated from St Olaf College in 1944 with a Science degree. After her schooling, she began her career as a teacher in Kiester, MN. Audrienne was united in marriage to Clayton Nelson on August 18, 1946 at the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale.
She was active and involved in many church organizations, and liked to sing as a part of the church choir. She enjoyed reading, bird watching, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Audrienne was thankful for her many trips with her loving husband Clayt. The couple traveled to New York, California, Texas, Florida, and also went on many cruises with their friends. She also enjoyed helping Clayt in selecting stained glass for his many stained glass projects. Her family was the pride and joy of her life, and she cherished every moment she had with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton and her parents Martin and Alma Ellingson.
Audrienne is survived by her sons, Marty (Lee) Nelson and Dan Nelson of Ellendale; her granddaughters, Nancy Nelson, of Roanoke TX, and Heidi (Ryan) Nelson Baldwin and their children Anna and Audrey Baldwin, of Stillwater MN.
