On Saturday, June 13 will be the 29th Annual Car Show from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. presented by The Freeborn County Historical Society. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and closes at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per car (dash plaque and goodie bag included). Event is free to the spectators. The music will be by Megaforce Sound & Light Show at the Car Show. There will be outside food concessions and other downtown food/drink establishments within walking distance. Awards will be given at 2 p.m. The Top 25 Car Show Awards will be picked out by the Car Show entrants. Also awarded: Mayor’s Choice Award, FCHM Award, Albert Lea Convention Plus Top 5 cars chosen by spectators. There will be a special class for 2015 Car Show, 1955-1957 Stock & Street Rod, any make or model. Three awards in each class. Cars will be displayed in special area.

The Eddie Cochran and Marion Ross xxhibits will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Museum. Downtown Albert Lea Window Decorating Contest will be June 8- 13. A ‘50s theme with award for first place from the FCHM. Two performances by Richie Lee will be at the downtown Marion Ross Theater from 2:30 until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Car cruise (12 miles) starts at 4 p.m. on North Broadway in Downtown Albert Lea. Car club reunion will be at a designated area for reunion or area car club members.
