Eunice T. Hanson was born on October 24, 1919 in Lake Sarah Township near Slayton, MN, the daughter of Frithiof and Florence (Larson) Elmgren. She grew up in Manistique, Michigan and attended elementary school there. She graduated from Manistique High School, and then attended a junior college in Chicago. She also went to Bethel College in St. Paul, and then Western Michigan College of Education in Kalamazoo, Michigan. On August 19, 1943 Eunice was united in marriage to Wyman E. Hanson in Rockford, MI. She taught at the Huff School in Michigan while her husband was in the service. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Clarks Grove. Eunice enjoyed attending the activities at Bancroft Creek Estates and the Good Samaritan Society, reading, quilting, and knitting baby caps for newborns. She was also a big fan of the Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves, and she enjoyed watching games on television. Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include her children David (Carolyn) Hanson and John (Ellen) Hanson; grandchildren Mike (Amy) Hanson, Shelli Hanson and special friend Robert Rossini, Tim (Tiffany) Hanson, Andrea (Anthony) Carter, Allison (Eric) Barry, and Brian (Amy) Gullikson; great-grandchildren Bryce Hanson and special friend Danielle Olson, Kara Hanson, Sam Hanson and special friend Audrey Hanson, Maddie Hanson, Siri, Jack, and Judd Hanson, Alexa and Halle Carter, Alexander and Lauren Barry, and Karina and Miles Gullikson.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wyman, her daughter Mary Jane Gullikson, and her son-in-law Glenn Gullikson.
