Norma Rae Callahan-Beyer was born January 3, 1928, in Freeborn Township, MN to Thomas and Hulda (Knaack) Callahan. She attended country school District #63 and later graduated from Freeborn High School in 1946. Norma was united in marriage to Harold Beyer on December 11, 1947. The couple moved to a farm near New Richland where they raised their family. She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Comfrey and was very active in various church activities. Norma enjoyed playing cards, old time dances, traveling, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Harold of Springfield; children- Donald and wife Susan Beyer of Keller, TX, Leann Henry of Big Lake, Marlene and husband Sheldon Schuelke of Comfrey, and Donna and husband Quint Streich of Statesville, NC; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers- Bill and Bob Callahan; sisters- Betty Lindsey, Dorothy Brandt, and Velma Brandt; sisters-in-law- Arlean Bollenbragen and Delores Callahan; and son-in-law Jim Henry.
