Funeral services for Daryl V. Clausen will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2014 at LeSueur River Lutheran Church, New Richland. The reverend Brian Gegel will officiate. Daryl passed away suddenly at his family farm on May 21, 2014. He was 52 years old.

Daryl V. Clausen was born on October 19, 1961 to Ronald and Lois (Brandvold) Clausen, in Waseca. Daryl attended and graduated from New Richland High School. He graduated with honors from Vermillion Community College and South Central College. He was united in marriage to Patti on August 6, 1983, and was blessed with two daughters, Callie Jo and Hailie Rae.

Daryl had many interests in life. He loved the outdoors, where he would travel, fish, golf, camp, grill and cook, and sing. He enjoyed helping farm and riding in the big blue tractor. He enjoyed gardening and set out to grow the area’s biggest pumpkin. Daryl had a very unique sense of humor, and he enjoyed playing practical jokes on people, such as the infamous cricket noises he would often make. He was dedicated to his daughters and was a proud grandpa to Apollo.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Agnes Brandvold, Herbert and Evelyn Clausen, and Violet Clausen.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Callie and Hailie Clausen; grandson, Apollo Robledo-Clausen; parents, Ronald and Lois Clausen; sister, Kyndra Rein and her son, Alex; Callie and Hailie’s mother, Patti Clausen; girlfriend, Jody Payne; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
