The floods of September caused havoc for many residents in the city of New Richland. Areas adjacent to the creek running through town were especially hard hit, which included Legion Field. The Quad Cities Baseball Association operates the concession stand at the ballpark, which was heavily damaged by about five feet of water. Proceeds from the concession stand are used to help fund summer recreation programs for area youth.

“All of the equipment in the stand was damaged,” said Mark Domeier, QCBA representative. “We need to replace some basic equipment to get the stand up and running for the spring and summer.”

The QCBA is offering high quality authentic Minnesota Twins and Vikings jerseys for only $39. These jerseys can cost upwards of a $100 in sporting good stores.

If you want to pretend you are Joe Mauer or Justin Morneau, these shirts are for you. Jerseys available for the Twins come in grey, white pinstripe, Navy blue and cream. Throwback jerseys in baby blue feature names such as Killebrew, Puckett, Blyleven and Carew adorning the back.

Put on your helmet and Vikings jersey in either home (purple) or away (white.) Twelve players names and numbers are available. Retro Vikings’ jerseys such as Fran Tarkenton, Alan Page or John Randle are available in purple only.

Youth sizes range from XS (10-12) to Large (16-18.) Adult sizes are Medium (48) to XXL (54.)

People desiring to purchase a jersey to help with fundraising efforts should contact Domeier or Jeff Reese.

“The QCBA is appreciative of those who support us through fundraisers like this,” said Domeier. “These are high-quality jerseys that you’ll never find for a lower price anywhere.”
