Jean was united in marriage to Lee Johnson on February 14, 1976 in Ellendale. She lived most of her life in Steele and Freeborn Counties. Jean was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale and had been employed as a waitress for many years. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards.

Jean is survived by her husband Lee of Ellendale, MN, children Vernon (Jeanne) Simonson of Clarks Grove, MN, Lori (Randy) Simonson of Clarks Grove, MN, step children Larry (Lois) Johnson of Owatonna, MN, and Connie Johnson of New Richland, MN. Grandchildren include Kevin Peterson, Darrin (Sue) Peterson, Dana Simonson, Crystal (Eric) Luxmore, Amber (Adam) Benson, Ronda (John) Stackpole, Tara (Jeff) Johnson, Eric Eisel, Trevor Titus, Tyler Titus, Carly Titus, Sara (Mike) Lindstrom and Shawn Johnson. There are 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother George Koranda, sisters Lorraine Tarris and Marge (Richard) Koranda and sisters in law Margaret Koranda and Lill Koranda. There are many nieces, nephews and special friends and neighbors; Jeff, Angie, Nash and Aryanna.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Bonita Eisel and Gladys Peterson. Grandchild Jamie Peterson and Brothers Kenneth Koranda and John Koranda.
