There are meats not every cook prepares, including pheasant, duck, elk, venison, alligator, fish, goose, and wild turkey that "the good old boys," who have been doing this all these years, have found many different ways of preparing. Some are baked, grilled, some made into casseroles, some ground and served as tacos, and it is all good. It is suggested to come early because the line forms fast.
The Wild Game is served beginning at 11 a.m. Many other activities take place following the feast.
The food is available to enjoy for a free-will donation, with all monies received being donated to the Eagles Cancer Telethon for research in Minnesota at the University of Minnesota, Mayo Clinic, and Hormel Institute.
You might say this event is a kick off for the annual Geneva Cancer Auction that starts at Geneva Bar & Grill on January 11-12, 2013 and finishes the following weekend.
If you haven't seen someone in a while, stop by Geneva Bar & Grill on Saturday. You are apt to meet him or her there, enjoying some great food and fellowship!
