He enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, feeding and watching the birds, visiting friends, and time spent with his family.  He especially enjoyed teaching his grandchildren about gardening and the outdoors.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca and was a life member of VFW Post 1642 in Waseca.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; children, Jeffrey Bauman of Waseca, Randy (Dorothy) Bauman of Staples, and Jodi Bauman of Waseca; and grandchildren, Jordan, Coby (Annie), Venessa (Marc), and Jarrod (Megan).  He is also survived by brothers, George (Evelyn) Bauman of Mesa, AZ and Fred (Joyce) Bauman of Waseca; brother-in-law, Gerald (Beverly) Schroeder of Waseca; sister-in-law, Judy (Carlyle) Hagen of Ellendale; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law; sister, Janet Roeglin; and brother-in-law, Stanley Roeglin.

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. and will continue on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church in Waseca with Rev. Chris Meirose officiating.  Burial will follow at Wilton Cemetery.  www.dennisfuneralhomes.com
