Funeral services for Adeline W. (Kopischke) Wood, age 91, of New Richland, MN, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Richland, MN. The Reverend Scott Williams will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 – 11 a.m., prior to services. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Richland. Friedrich Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Adeline Wood passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 13, at St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault, MN. Adeline was born March 23, 1921 to Fred and Emma (Schlaak) Kopischke in Alma City, MN.

She was confirmed in St. John’s Church, Alma City, and graduated from Pemberton High School. Adeline married Raymond Wood on November 12, 1941.  They lived and farmed all their life in the New Richland area except for a few early years living in Alma City. Adeline also worked at EF Johnson in Waseca for 25 years and met and made many new friends there. She enjoyed her home, garden club, playing cards, listening to old time music, going to dances at the Senior Center, ice cream socials, visiting, shopping and quilting with the Ladies Aid groups. She also helped out at church activities and in Broadway Unit.

Adeline is survived by her daughter Sharlene (Wood) Hornstein, son-in-law Floyd, grandson Terry and also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Emma, infant sister Esther, sister Ethel (Oftedahl), brother Wilfred and her husband Raymond.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Flemming, David Schlaak, Roger Witts, Dennis Kopischke, Leonard Wood and O’Dean Miller. 

Honorary Pallbearers: Jim and Duke Randall, Arizona.
