Eads noted the new squad car went into service on March 29. The city owns an old shot gun which has served its purpose. The police chief will obtain price quotes from several gun dealers and obtained permission from the council to make the sale.
The council next approved the spring city newsletter after a few minor changes. It contains information on the upcoming city- wide garage sales (April 28) and clean-up day (May 5).
Discussion was held about patching and chip sealing streets. It was decided to go ahead with patching of 2nd St. N.W.
After a recent health inspection, it was determined the floor of the concession stand at Legion Field needs to be sealed. The council approved an amount of $825 for completion of the work.
The last order of business was opening of the sealed bids for the city’s Case 7120 tractor with loader. Five bids were received. The council voted to sell the tractor to the highest bid, which was $36,251.
