Gladys Irene Miskoff, age 90, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in Excelsior, Minnesota. A Graveside Service was held Friday, December 5, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Freeborn Cemetery in Freeborn, Minnesota.

Gladys Irene Miskoff was born on August 8, 1924, in Freeborn, Minnesota. She was the daughter of George and Julia (Jacobson) Hinkley. Gladys was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Freeborn, and was a graduate of the Freeborn High School class of 1942.

Funeral services for Harriet Lorraine Rice Myhre of Hartland, MN, were held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Hartland, MN. Reverend Dr. Mark Hillmer  officiating. Interment was in the Hartland Cemetery.


Harriet died Monday morning, November 24, 2014 at St Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN; she was 90 years of age.

Harriet Lorraine was born September 16, 1924, to Henry and Fern Jacobson Rice in Hartland Township. She was a member of Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Hartland where she was baptized and confirmed. She belonged to Ladies Aid, Altar Guild and had been a Sunday school teacher and also taught Bible School. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Harriet worked for the New Richland School District in the cafeteria. She also worked at the New Richland Care Center.


Sharon Ann Johnson, 71, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL passed away on October 13, 2014.

She was born November 2, 1942 in Waseca, MN to Verle and Lucille Hansen. She grew up on the family farm in New Richland, MN and earned a degree in Elementary Education from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1964, where she sang in the Gustavus Concert Choir.

Funeral Services for Doris G. Breid, of New Richland, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at the Vibrant Life Assembly of God Church,  in Ellendale.  The ReverendPatrick Stitt will officiate. Interment will be in Berlin Cemetery, rural Ellendale.

Friends may visit with family one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Doris died on Thursday, November 20, at the New Richland Care Center, where she had been as resident for the past five years. She was 94.


Christine Espeland, 53, went to Heaven early Sunday morning on November 2, 2014, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She died on All Saints Sunday as a tribute to her strong Christian faith.

Christine was born Christmas day in 1960 to Steven and Agnes Kubicek in Owatonna, MN. She had two brothers and a sister. Chris went to high school in Ellendale, MN where she was involved with the band and was a majorette. She attended college in Winona, MN.

Christine married her high school sweetheart Wayne in 1980. They moved to Arizona with their daughter (Rachael) in 1983. After calling Arizona home, they had two more children Ranae and Robyn. They have lived in Cottonwood since 1986.
