Ruth Cook of Farmington passed away peacefully on May 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth was born in New Richland, MN on August 8, 1922, the youngest of eight children of Andrew F. and Hulda Sponberg. Christian values were instilled in her by her family and education at Visitation Lutheran Church. Farm life developed in her a strong work ethic and service to others.

 

 

Natalie McCrady, 90, Eden Prairie, passed May 13, 2016.

Natalie was born in Rochester and lived many years in Owatonna, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie. She was an extraordinary mom, grandma and friend, and a life-long volunteer – Society for the Blind, MN Stroke Association, hospital nursery quilter, cookie baker and package delivery workhorse at The Colony where she lived the past six years. Always up for fun, she starred in a TV commercial in her 40s, trampolined in her 70s, frolicked in the snow at 88. Natalie will be so missed, but her caring and sharing legacy will help all know that her journey will be deservedly awesome.

 

Joyce Arlene Hanson, age 75 of Waseca died on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Born on August 3, 1940 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, she was the daughter of James and Lila (Nelson) Rasmussen. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1959 and married Mervin Dale Hanson on June 23, 1961 in Albert Lea. Joyce owned and operated the Du Drop Inn Restaurant in New Richland. She enjoyed camping, reading and socializing.

 

Memorial services for Beulah M. Jensen were held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. Pastor Mark Henry officiated. Burial was in First Lutheran Cemetery.

Beulah M. Jensen passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at the New Richland Care Center. She was 97 years old.

 

 

Funeral Services for Woodrow A. Johnson, 99, of New Richland, Minnesota, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 at LeSueur River Lutheran Church, rural New Richland. The Reverend Brian Gegel will officiate. Interment will be in LeSueur River Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Friedrich- Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Woodrow died on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the New Richland Care Center, just over six months short of his 100th birthday.

He was born on November 30, 1916, in New Richland, Minnesota the son of Butler and Caia Johnson. Woodrow had three sisters, Gilma, Beatrice and Evelyn.
