Lassahn took the mound in the second game for the Jazz and Dodge Center batters only touched him for five scattered hits in the 5-0 shutout. He struck out seven and walked only two. He helped his cause by going 2-2 at the plate. Jacob Staloch, White and Meyer each contributed one base knock a piece.
“David [Lassahn] had a great game both pitching and hitting,” said Meyer, as his team improved their record to 2-1.
Jazz 7, Waseca 5
The Jazz headed north to Tink Larson Field in Waseca on June 16 to take on Legion Post 228, which just happens to be coached by Tink Larson. Trailing 4-1 in the top of the sixth, Dillon Parpart smashed a triple which helped the Jazz take a 6-4 lead. Each team scored a run but the Jazz held on for the win.

Jazz 7, Stewartville 6 (Gm 1)
Lassahn was the starter for the Jazz lasting six innings giving up nine hits and four runs. Akemann came on in relief to finish the game. Hitting was a team effort as most of the lineup had at least one hit.
Jazz 8, Stewartville 5 (Gm2)
Lassahn and Staloch were both 2-2 at the plate as the Jazz swept the visiting Stewartville nine last Friday evening. Meyer, Mangskau and Akemann each had a hit. Mangskau earned his first win of the season only allowing four hits, walking three and striking out the same number.
“We are on a nice winning streak right now,” said Meyer. “The boys are playing consistently good ball.”
