The NRHEG kindergarten classes of 2010-11 recently completed a milestone in their young lives. Tears and cheers were shed throughout the Ellendale Elementary gymnasium on June 1, 2011, as educators said farewell to this group of youngsters moving forward in their educational achievement and growth.

Pomp and Circumstance played as the children filed onto the stage, to await their recognition of achievement. NRHEG Kindergarten teacher, Shelley Mangskau, looked back over shared adventures. "Students loved the trips to the Pumpkin Patch, and to Ox Bow Park in Byron," Mangskau said.

In addition to the field trips, kindergartners also participated in other special events. "The kindergartners enjoyed the Read Across America campaign,” Mangskau said. “They may not have enjoyed eating Green Eggs and Ham, but, they love Dr. Seuss.” The Kindergarten Spring play was a grand experience. "The students learned quickly, and loved performing for their parents, and peers," Mangskau added.

A special presentation of the song "One Small Voice," was presented by soloists, Erin Jacobson, Wyatt Groskreutz, Bryce Mudgett, and Jaylee Christopher, one from each class.

Mrs. Buendorf's students included Logan Adams, Sean Beauvais, Landon Connors, Alex Cords, Arianna Hansen, Taya Lembke, Bryce Mudgett, Conner Nelson, Valerie Nelson, Clair Pittman, Zachary Possin, Landen Robinson, Kaleb Schmidt, Sidney Schultz, Tatum Smith Vulcan, Trinity Smith Vulcan, Josie Strom and Will Utpadel.

Mrs. Knudson's students were: Tarynn Besser, Avyana Boyd, Andrea Briggs, Jaylee Christopher, Jacob Cornelius, Anton Domeier, Ethan Dunn, Blake Eustice, Trystyn Hartwig, Nash Howe, Dylan Ingvaldson, Treyvin Johannsen, Mason Klemmensen, Dakota Napin, Zander Nolan, Marcus Prieto, Cody Reistad, Avery Routh and Neela Wencl.

Mrs. Jensen's students were: Thomas Cliff, Levi DenHerder, Dylan DePew, Aidan Deyle, Sarah George, Aiden Jacobsen, Erin Jacobson, Lexus Jans, Katheryn Kofstad, Jackson Lageson, Charlie Nissen, Matthew Ryan, Evan Schaefer, Brooklyn Strand, Spencer Swenson, Chloe Walterman, Gavin Wilkenson, Ashley Wobschall and Bradley Wobschall.

Mrs. Mangskau's class was as follows: Elijah Ackland, Evan Beckmann, Aden Berg, Faith Borchert, Ethan Burfield, Natalie Butler, Samuel Christensen, Wyatt Groskreutz, Bailey Ihrke, Bree Ihrke, MaKayla Mahlman, Ashton Mertins, Makota Misgen, Andrew Nolan, Sawyer Prigge, Brady Schlaak, Eva Wayne and Grace Wilkenson.

Doug Anderson, elementary coordinator, shook the hands of each of the 74 NRHEG kindergarten graduates, and presented them their diplomas.

In closing, the kindergarten graduates sang "May There Always Be Sunshine," as the future NRHEG graduating class of 2023 bid farewell to the first year of their educational journey.
