“This was a good showing from our athletes,” said coach Shawn Larson. “Our wrestlers have grown accustomed to experienced competetion, and this time they were prepared to compete.
“I am very proud of a second place finish at a tournament like this, our boys deserved this finish after the work they have put in so far.”
There is more to do, though.
“We are happy with our accomplishments, but we are not content. We know that there is a lot of season left, and we are going to keep working at getting better. Hopefully coming into January we can continue to compete well.”
Next, the Panthers will host Blue Earth Area, St. Clair, and Triton for a quadrangular on January 2, 2015.
