As noted by coach Dan Sorum, "This a whole team sport. There are no bench players so when one person struggles it is important that others can step up and fill in the gaps."
It wasn't all low scores, however. Last spring's top shooter, Collin Christenson, posted a perfect round of 25 and an overall score of 48/50 while Frank Altrichter posted a 47/50. Frank is now the top shooter in the conference and holds the #10 spot in the top 100 shooters in the state. NRHEG currently has five of the top 10 shooters for the conference.
The others shooters are Collin Christenson (3), Tyler Raimann (4), Sam Bartz (6), and Zachary Eustice (7). The same six shooters are also all ranked in the state’s top 100.
The team, which consists of 20 athletes from NRHEG, Waseca, and Albert Lea now has just two weeks of competition left. They shoot Wedneday evenings at the Owatonna Gun Club south of Hope.
