The Panthers’ two girls also did very well. Mikayla Olson placed as high as eighth in Janesville and at USC. Rayna Crossen was consistently around that 10th-place finish, taking eighth in Maple River.
As all the runners in junior high were in seventh grade this year, next year they can expect to be even more competitive, as they will no longer be the youngest on the course. The Panther team could also possibly see some of these athletes join junior varsity or varsity in 2013.
