Goslee went on to play for the Cerro Gordo team that earned the NAFA World Series in 2006, where he was chosen to be tournament MVP. He continues to play fast-pitch softball, but had to give up the position he has played for so many years, pitcher, after developing back problems.
Goslee graduated from the University of Minnesota, Mankato, with two degrees, Athletic Training and Physical Education. He earned a masters degree in Health in 2009.
Currently, he is a physical education and health teacher at Montevideo. He also serves as head coach for varsity softball and assistant coach for varsity football.
Goslee is the son of Marilyn Goslee, of Geneva, and the late Keith Goslee. Kyle has one sister, Melanie, who is married to Scott Crabtree; she and their family live east of Geneva.
Goslee and his wife, Heather, live in Montevideo where Heather will begin her career in nursing after finishing school to become a RN. They are the parents of two children, a son, Jace, 6, and a daughter, Drew, 1. In their spare time they enjoy playing/watching sports, the outdoors, including hunting and fishing, and spending time with friends.
This is another example of “ local boy makes good.”
Goslee wanted to make sure to point out that he is very grateful to get the opportunity to play fast-pitch in Geneva while developing great friendships and having the opportunity to play with such exceptional ball players. Kyle is hoping to, "Build the bridges to a successful future for all our students.”
The other Minnesotans chosen to the 20th Anniversary team include Rick Lang, a pitcher for Geneva’s RWP team; Scott Collins, Mankato; and Chad Osterman, Lake Crystal.
