Lundberg is excited to play with some of Minnesota’s best baseball players, and is grateful to be given the opportunity.
“None of it would be possible without my teammates, coaches, and family members surrounding me and helping me become the best that I can be each and every day,” Lundberg said.
This fall, Lundberg plans on attending Gustavus Adolphus, where he will play football and possibly baseball. He will major in physical education and minoring in coaching.
“This is all one more step to leading me to what I really want to do, which is to one day become a collegiate football coach at a big university school,” he said.
If you would like to watch Lundberg, along with 79 other players from the state, this weekend you can visit www.mnlionsvisionfoundation.org for a full roster, schedule and directions. The tournament starts at 4 p.m. on Friday. Sponsored by the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank and the Minnesota High School Baseball Coaches Association, all proceeds from the tournament go to the Lions Children’s Eye Clinic at the University of Minnesota.
It’s people like Lundberg who make you realize that with hard work, dedication, and a little support, you can do just about anything. His journey is only beginning, but his future looks bright, and we wish him the best this weekend and in life.
