The NRHEG girls' track and field team finished fifth in last week's Section 2A True Team meet at United South Central.
Evelyn Nydegger, as she has all season, led the Panthers, taking second in the 100-meter high hurdles in 17.37 seconds, second in the 300 intermediate hurdles in 50.21 and second in the triple jump at 33-1.5.
Malonna Wilson was second in the shot put with a toss of 33-5.75.

JWP won the meet with 816 points, followed by Jackson County Central with 785.5. The Panthers totaled 706.4. Sixteen schools competed.
"It was a very nice effort by the girls tonight," said NRHG coach Duey Ferber. "JWP has really put together a nice team. Evelyn had a great meet, posting the third-highest score for both boys and girls."
The girls were second in the Gopher Conference meet at Maple River Saturday with 99 points. JWP won with 129.5. Eleven teams scored.
Nydegger was second in the 300 hurdles, third in the 100 hurdles, sixth in the triple jump. Ladlie was second in the high jump.

"The girls performed well," said Ferber. "The bulk of our scoring came from third plac on. We did everything we could tonight, but came up short against a very good JWP team."
The boys finished third in the conference meet. The host team won with 164 points, with JWP second at 145. The Panthers totaled 71. Ten teams competed.
Tuttle claimed two golds, winning the 110 hurdles in 15.34 and the 300 hurdles in 42.17. Jacob Karl was second in the 3200 and third in the 800.

"Congratulations to Will for being a two-time conference champ," said Ferber. "Jacob really came through in the 800 and 3200."
The NRHEG boys had what Ferber called a tough go at True Team, finishing 12th among 16 squads. Minnesota Valley Lutheran was first with 850 points. The Panthers had 417.
Will Tuttle captured the Panthers' lone first, winning the 300 hurdles in 42.2. He was second in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.63.
Cromwell, Tuttle, Raab and Kitzer combined for third in the 4x100 relay. Kitzer was fourth in the 110 hurdles and Bunn took seventh in the 300 hurdles.
"Our hurdlers had a nice night," said Ferber. "The 4x100 looked good."
