Two weeks into the Clay Target Spring season, the Panthers of NRHEG find themselves atop the conference. Much of this is due to strong scores from many students against just a few powerhouses.
In week one, the team from Goodhue was leading the second-place Panthers, but that changed as Goodhue fell to fourth in what is a very close conference, with five of the seven schools all within striking distance of the top spot.
The Panther shooters were led in part by the top two current top female shooters in the conference, Gracie Luna and Ciara Stenzel. Both ladies have had a strong start to the season. Keira Lenort is currently third, with Abbie Viktora and Faith Phillps also in the top-10 averages.
On the male side, Reese Routh and Dylan Schroht are currently in 10th place for conference averages.
But, it is truly the top-to-bottom scores that have made a difference considering the unusual drought of 25 straight rounds. Nora Flatness, Zander Flatness, Brody Mudgett, Jayden Fleming, and JP Lynne are all in the top 25 averages for the conference.
The Panthers now move into Week 3 of competition in Class 5A Conference 3 and hope to widen their lead over the rest of the field. You can see all league standings at https://mn.usaclaytarget.com/spring-trap-shooting-leaderboard/
