The Panther basketball season kicks off in a few weeks with a Dec. 7 home game against the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms. The Panther Press wanted to give its readers some insights on the team for this season.

Returning Head Coach Isaiah Lundberg said, “ Experience will be a key factor for us with players that have played at the varsity level for 2 going on 3 years now. We are a very strong and athletic team. We have some guys who are very quick and good, which will help us play faster and allow us to do more things offensively and defensively.

The Panther Press also sat down with some returning starters from last year's team to get their thoughts on the upcoming season.

Senior Tyrone Wilson said, “I expect us to win a lot of games this season and for us to be one of the best teams in the conference. I’m excited to start playing and competing. Our team has a lot of size and skill.“

Senior Porter Peterson anticipates being “a top three team in the conference, and one of the top teams. We are really fast. To improve on last year, we need to be more physical; that should help us a lot.”

Senior Jack Olson also has some high expectations for this year. “I feel we have a really good team and I expect us to be a top 3 team in the conference. I’m looking forward to my senior year, and to being with my teammates. We have many fast players with plenty of experience.”
