The NRHEG High School volleyball team saw its season end with a 3-1 loss at Mountain-Lake Area Thursday, Oct. 25. Game scores were 25-20, 20-25, 26-24, 25-20.
"It's bittersweet for the season to end," said Panthers coach Onika Peterson. "I am extremely proud to have coached this great group of girls. Their fight and big hearts came second to none. Tonight the girls battled, but unfortunately we came up short."
The Panthers rebounded strong after dropping the first game, according to Peterson, and in game three they took a 7-1 lead but let the home team back in it. They trailed most of the way in game four, and were down by 10 at one point, before rallying to make it close.

Individually for the Panthers: Olivia Christopherson 19 kills, 18 digs, 1 ace block; Alexis  Anderson 5 kills, 13 digs, 3 ace serves; Caitlin Goette 4 kills; Jayna Finseth 7 kills, 1 dig, 3 ace blocks; Kylie  Arndt 4 kills, 1 ace block; Sydney Schlinger 8 digs; Laura Worrell 15 assists, 1 dig, 3 ace serves; Hannah Budach 23 assists, 4 digs, 2 ace serves; Darian Pearson 2 ace blocks.
The Panthers will graduate 10 seniors in Christopherson, Goette, Worrell, Finseth, Pearson, Anderson, Arndt, Budach, Schlinger and Lexie Ignaszewski.
"Thank you for all your time, effort, and dedication," said Coach Peterson "It is greatly appreciated."
The Panthers finished with a record of 11-15-1.
