Last Thursday, they broke it again.

The foursome clocked 8:32.69 for second place at Byron’s Chuck Ramthun Invitational as the Panther boys were sixth out of seven squads.

“We saw unbelievable competition,” said coach Duey Ferber. “This was a good meet to test our kids.”

Rochester Lourdes edged Stewartville for first, 107-106. Following were Byron with 96, Kasson-Mantorville 86, Pine Island 83, NRHEG 59 and Medford 25.

The 4x800 quartet also teamed for third in the 4x400 with a time of 3:39.01.

Cole was second in the 1600 in 4:52.95, Brady Agrimson second in the high jump at 5-6. Schlaak logged a season-best 2:10.03 for third in the 800 and Brenden McMann cleared a personal-best 11-0 for third in the pole vault.

Other NRHEG places: Agro Gushwa, third, high jump; Agrimson, fourth, triple jump and sixth, 110 hurdles; Zeke Erickson, fourth, shot put, 44-2; Alex Buckmeier, sixth, shot put; 4x200 relay, sixth (Aaron Seath, Jarrett Utpadel, Lucas Hermann, Gushwa).

“This was a good meet for us overall,” said Ferber.
