1-3 • HAYFIELD 47 - NRHEG 38

The Panther girls basketball team took a loss at Hayfield last Saturday, after an up-and-down performance at the St. Olaf Invitational.

Hayfield took the lead early and was ahead 23-16 at the half. 

The Wagners led the scoring for the Panthers as usual, with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals for Maddie and 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals for Marnie. Gretchen Ramaker also came up with 9 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals, but the lead stayed with Hayfield.

Other Panther scorers were R.Hagen 6pts, 5reb, 3assists; K.Camerer 2pts, 7reb, 1assist, 3 steals; G.Johns 2pts, 1reb, 1assist.

The Panther Jr. Varsity beat Hayfield 47-38.


St. Olaf Invitational

The Panthers still took a loss from Prior Lake at St. Olaf, despite double-digit scoring by the Wagners, but racked up two respectable wins.

Maddie Wagner 25 pts, 9 reb, 5 assists, 2 steals; Marnie Wagner 13pts, 7 reb, 2 assists, 3 steals; Camerer 12 pts, 2 reb, 6 blocks, 1 steal; Harrington 8 pts, 1 assist, 1 steal; Stork 4pts, 3reb, 1 assist; Hagen 4 pts, 4 reb, 2 steals; Johns 2 pts, 5 reb, 2 steals; Ramaker 2 pts, 3 reb, 1 assist, 1 block.

The Panther Jr. Varsity won 57-31.

The Panther Jr. Varsity lost 37-50.

The Panthers held the lead all the way, with 29-16 at the half.

Both Wagners made double-doubles. Ten Panthers scored in the game.
