The Blooming Prairie Blossoms won their first victory since 2008 against the previously-undefeatable Panthers last Tuesday, taking the game 52-28.
The Blooming Prairie defense cranked it up and kept the Pantheres under control, holding them to just 8 points in the first half.
Maddie Wagner made 11 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist, Marnie managed 5 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist, while Gretchen Ramaker made 4 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal.Other players were H. Schuller 3 pts; K. Camerer 2 pts, 5 rebounds; R. Hagen 2 pts, 2 rebounds; J. Peterson 2 rebounds; R. Collins 1 rebound, 1 assist; K. Harrington 3 rebounds, 1 assist.
Blooming Prairie leaders Madison Worke and Taylor Hagen were the big scorers with 21 and 14 points respectively.
The Panthers (now 1-3) will go up against Medford on Friday, Dec. 19.
