The 2012 Panther softball team enjoyed a fine 16-4 season this year and are looking forward to next year. Despite the loss of some senior leadership, the team will be fielding an experienced bunch next spring. Head Coach Wendy Schultz has released the final statistics and are highlighted as follows.

Pitching:

Schultz had a record of 16-4 with an ERA of 1.98. She struck out 212 batters in 131 innings, an average of 1.62 per inning. Her season high 17 strikeouts came in a 3-0 win against Blooming Prairie. She faced 598 batters giving up only 87 hits and 69 runs (37 earned runs.) She issued 101 walks and hit three batters. Opponents managed only a .176 batting average.
