Memorial services for Angeline “Ang” Kent will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at All Saints Catholic Church in New Richland, MN. Father Raul Silva will officiate. Visitation will be held 4-5:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Friday February 20, 2015 at Friedrich Funeral Home in New Richland and a visitation again one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in New Richland.

Angeline “Ang” Kent was born on September 21, 1923 at home in rural New Richland, MN to Monika (Giese) and Thomas Chicos. Ang has been a lifelong resident of the New Richland area and an active member of All Saints Catholic Church. She graduated from Freeborn High School in 1940. Ang earned a teaching degree and taught in Matawan for a few years prior to having children. Later on in life, Ang went back to school and received a bachelor’s degree from Mankato State University and returned to teaching in Freeborn, MN.

Shirley Ann Raimann, age 68, of Mapleton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at the Mapleton Community Home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Medo Lutheran Church, Medo Township, rural Mapleton. Interment will be in Medo Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Olson–Tichenor Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Memorials preferred to Medo Lutheran Church of rural Mapleton, Epilepsy Foundation, Mapleton Community Home, or charity of donor’s choice.

Wilma Kulla, Cape Fair, MO, daughter of James Arthur and Bernice Lucille (Bennett) Manuel, was born on April 21, 1941 in Albert Lea, MN and departed this life on February 9, 2015 in Table Rock Healthcare, Kimberling, MO, at the age of 73.

Wilma was a care given who had lived in the area for the past twenty years, coming from Minnesota. She was a member of the Cape Fair Eagles, Homemakers, Red Hatters and Bunco Club. Wilma had been a florist for several years and collected cows.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bernice Manuel, and one sister, Gwendolyn Charlene Gunther.

Lageson, Dorothy M., age 90, of Robbinsdale, passed away on February 13, 2015 in Monticello.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Reuben; parents, John and Esther Hansen; brother, Roy Hansen; sister, Doris Jonnes; brother-in-law, Bob Doebler; and a granddaughter, Lonnie.

She will be deeply missed by sons, Jeff (Trisha), Jim (Nancy), John (Lynn); daughters, Jane Mechtel (Keith Graham), Jackie (Dave) Arpin; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorine Doebler, Ruth Browne; sister-in-law, Betty Hansen; brother-in-law, Orville Jonnes; many relatives and good friends.

Memorial service at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park (763-560-3100). Visitation at church one hour before service. Private interment.


Funeral services for Eunice T. Hanson, age 95, of Clarks Grove, will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Clarks Grove. Pastor Jamie Cameron will officiate. Burial will be at the Clarks Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church. Eunice died on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Center.
