Beulah Ann Rohde, age 85 of Waseca died on Monday, May 23, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 19, 1925 in New Richland Township, Waseca County, Minnesota she was the daughter of Michael and Josephine (Weber) Weydert. Beulah graduated from New Richland High School. She was employed at the E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca until her marriage to James Rohde on August 27, 1946 in New Richland. After getting married, she worked nights at Birds Eye Division of General Foods in Waseca and she later worked in the cafeteria at Sacred Heart School for many years. Beulah also worked for several years at the Waseca County Assessor and Recorder’s Offices until her retirement in 1986.

Memorial services for Eugene M. Rudolph will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Richland. Reverend Scott Williams will officiate. Eugene passed away on February 20, 2011 at his home in Wasilla, Alaska after a short illness. Interment services will be held the same day at 11 a.m. at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. Military rites will be conducted by the New Richland American Legion honor guard.

Remembering the life of Merton G. Arnold.
The funeral service for Merton G. Arnold of New Richland was held at
11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, New Richland.
The Reverend Scott Williams officiated. Interment was in St. Peter
Cemetery. Visitation was from 4-7 Thursday at Friedrich Funeral Home,
New Richland, and one hour before the service at the church.
Merton died on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the New Richland Care Center. He was 95.
He was born on April 17, 1916, in Garden City, Minnesota the son of Noah and Permilla (Griffith) Arnold.
The family moved to Freeborn, and Merton graduated from Freeborn High School with the class of 1936. He married Ethel Johnston in 1937. They had three children, Gary, Rodney and Linda. They were later divorced. He married Earline Hawkins. She preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Howard I. Recknor, age 86, of Hartland, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Hartland. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Interment will be in the Hartland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Tuesday. Howard died on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center.
Howard Isaac Recknor was born on October 7, 1924 to Ray and Beatrice (Chambers) Recknor in rural Creston, Iowa. He graduated from Creston area schools. On January 3, 1945 Howard was united in marriage to Betty Jean Swanson. Howard was a member of the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, and served on the church council. He was a member of the New Richland – Hartland School Board for 25 years. Howard was a lifelong farmer, but especially enjoyed his flower gardening. His main pride and joy was Betty’s Scandinavian rosemaling.

Janet May Roeglin, age 76 of rural Waseca died on Monday, May 9, 2011 at her residence.
Born on May 19, 1934 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of George A. and Fayette E. (Wobschall) Bauman. She attended rural Waseca County School District #46 and graduated from Waseca Central High School in 1951. Janet married Stanley Roeglin on January 23, 1952 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. She and Stanley lived in Waseca before moving to a farm west of town. She worked at various places in Waseca and retired from the E.F. Johnson Co. in 1998. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling to Salt Lake City to do family history and genealogy, and socializing with friends over lunch. Janet was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca where she taught Sunday School and Bible School, was active with WELCA and the quilters, and also served on the church council. She also volunteered with various other organizations.
